Janelle & Steven's Craigslist Dresser

When Janelle & Steven brought home this dresser they had purchased on Craiglist they thought it was a lost cause. I saw potential.

It was covered in stink bugs and was a pretty flimsy design. {sorry for the poor picture quality} 

After pulling all the vinyl lettering off and removing all the stink bugs, I was able to sand the dresser down and get ready to paint it.

The dresser was so 'plain Jane' as it was, so painting it a solid color wasn't going to work. We decided to colorblock it.

For the frame of the dresser we went with Americana Decor Carbon Chalk Paint, and the drawers we painted Amy Howard at Home Luxe Gray Chalk Paint. 

A few coats of paint later, and the dresser was looking like a completely different piece of furniture.

The dresser drawers were still extremely flimsy though, so we decided to add knobs {which they also got off craigslist} to make it easier to open and close them.
